BrewDog have designed a Rogue Wave Percy Pig flavoured vodka, would you buy it?

The Scottish brewer and distillery is gearing up to pitch to Marks and Spencer, with a version of their Rogue Vodka featuring everyone's favourite pig - Percy.

Posting pictures of the labels and design mock-up co-owner James Watt tweeted: "As part of a pitch for @marksandspencer we have prototyped this new vodka. Would you buy it?"

Fans have replied mainly saying yes, with one tweeted they'd buy it 'in spades.' Another asked if it's the veggie Percy pigs while some didn't seem so sure, writing: "make a Colin the caterpillar liqueur and I'll get back to you".

BrewDog Distilling Co. is the spirits side of the well-known Ellon-based business, and it makes the popular Lone Wolf gin, Five Hundred Cuts Botanical rum, Rogue Wave vodka and Inugami Shochu.

This move by BrewDog to pitch a Percy Pig vodka comes after a hugely successful collaboration with Aldi over a limited edition release, ALD IPA - the result of a Twitter chat between the brands.

On 20 August, Scottish brewers, BrewDog, responded to a beer being sold by Aldi with a tongue in cheek post announcing a ‘Yaldi’ IPA, with branding colours that look just like the discount supermarkets.

Fans of BrewDog may have noticed that Aldi have been selling an Anti Establishment IPA, housed in blue cans.

Some think that this non-branded beer looks a lot like BrewDog’s Punk IPA and have taken to social media to discuss it, with one Twitter user saying: “The name of Aldi’s take on Brewdog Punk IPA is legendary!”

In response to this, co-founder of BrewDog, James Watt, posted on his Twitter: “I wonder what Aldi would call Elvis Juice?”

This was followed by a funny announcement of a BrewDog Yaldi IPA, which is apparently coming soon.

James wrote: “Inspired by ALDI’s take on Punk IPA from yesterday, we are making a new beer. YALDI IPA is coming soon! Maybe our friends @AldiUK will even sell it in their stores?”

The resulting beer was named ALD IPA after a suggestion by the supermarket. and was stocked as a special buy in Aldi stores and online at BrewDog.

BrewDog limited editions

The brewery made the news in May when they announced they’d be making a limited edition Barnard Castle Eye Test IPA, with proceeds going to the NHS.

They've since hinted that this will make a return, but called 'Cummings and Goings' after Dominic Cummings resigned his post within the government.

The brewing giant also turned its sights to helping re-home and rescue dogs with their Street Dog IPA.

All cans of the Punk IPA: Street Dog will have adoption adverts from dogs looking for a loving home, and proceeds will go to Dogs on the Streets and All Dogs Matter.
